Biography
Dr. Hamidi comes from a family of doctors—both of her parents and her brother also have medical degrees. She became interested in oncology after a gynecologic oncology rotation during medical school. Dr. Hamidi found herself drawn to the problem solving involved in the specialty, as well as the constantly evolving technology and the opportunity to provide individualized care for each patient. As an oncologist, Dr. Hamidi strives to keep her patients informed about their care plan, so they are able to be active participants in their own care.
Dr. Hamidi grew up in Northern Virginia and moved back after over two decades to be closer to her family. When she’s not in the office, you can find her exploring the area on long hikes with her two dogs, Xander and Lila. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, drawing, and traveling.
