Biography

Kimberly Applegate, FNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner at Shenandoah Oncology with a clinical interest in breast cancer, gynecologic malignancies, and benign hematology. Kimberly knew she wanted to be a nurse from a young age and spent over 15 years working as an intensive care unit nurse before beginning work in oncology in 2014. Kimberly says she and the entire staff at Shenandoah Oncology work to make a difficult time physically and emotionally easier on each patient.

Kimberly is married with four children and enjoys spending time with her family and their three dogs. She loves reading for both pleasure and educational purposes. In her free time, she volunteers at a local animal rescue.
